I am one of the worst dental patients in the world. Dentists are a very debilitating fear for me. To give a better picture, I’ve been sedated for simple cleanings. I started crying and sweating profusely when I had to call for an appointment. Broke a tooth down to the nerve, was in severe pain, popping oxycodone and flexeril (leftover from a surgery) like tic-tacs for weeks until I could get in for an appointment. Went to Willet Dental Associates because 1) they offer conscientious sedation and 2) have great patient reviews. I see why. From the time I called for the appointment to the time I left the appointment a week later, it was a wonderful experience. Believe me, dentist and wonderful are not something I ever dreamed of saying in the same sentence. Sarah was so sweet, caring and gentle. She understood my fear and anxiety and I feel went out of her way to be encouraging and help me through it. The medication they prescribe for the conscious sedation worked amazingly well. So amazing, 5 days later, I still don’t remember the one hour trip to the appointment, the procedure or the trip back home! And the dentist, Dr. Miller (I think, because I have no clue - was out of it!) did an excellent job! The roof of my mouth was a little tender for a few days, but the actual tooth area hasn’t hurt at all!! I haven’t had to take any pain relieving medication, not even OTC, since the day after my appointment. I’m so thankful for consciousness sedation, Dr. Miller and Willet Dental Associates!!! Highly recommend!

Going to this dentist office is more therapeutic than a spa. The environment is peaceful, calm, and quietly joyful. Amy, the receptionist, always calls me promptly and is proactive and flexible about my payments. Sarah, my hygienist, remembers details about my life and family and genuinely cares about her patients. Dr Miller and Dr Willett are conscientious and efficient, and they have worked on some real challenges with my teeth. They got me in the very same day I had an emergency, and all hands were on deck to accommodate the schedule squeeze. Lisa was amazing and made sure we got to the root of the problem. While getting a root canal or crown, I have found myself laughing, smiling, even humming in this environment. My last dentist wrote “DENTAL ANXIETY” on my file, as I often lay there fighting tears while the tools scraped and prodded, but this office is such a delight that I’d stay all day if given the opportunity. To be here is to feel loved, nourished, respected, and blessed. I don’t have dental insurance and still choose them. What they provide is invisible but priceless: true loving kindness and reliable, consistent professionalism.

I always have a positive experience when coming to Willett dental! Everyone who works there greets me with a smile, and they remember details about my personal life and follow up with me each visit. On my initial visit I learned so much about teeth and gums because Dana took the time to explain everything she was checking. I also had my very first cavity filling at Willett, and they made it as comfortable as possible for me. I have referred several friends to Willett dental because they rock!

Dr. Willett, Dr. Miller, Amy, & Courtney are excellent! We have had excellent experiences at Willet Dental Associates in Columbia, MO. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly and professional team who made me feel at ease. The office is modern and inviting, and the staff took the time to explain every step of the treatment clearly. Their attention to detail and commitment to patient care really stood out. We appreciated the comfortable environment and the genuine concern they showed for our dental health. Because of Willett Dental Associates I now LOVE going to the dentist. From my first appointment they did not yell at me or shame me for it being so long since I had been seen by a dentist. They treated me with kindness and respect. It amazes me that they know every patient by name the minute you walk in the door. I told my husband I feel like I am walking in my family's home everyone has a smile on their face and so happy to see everyone. If you have a fear of the dentist this is the family for you.
